When looking for the best pressure washer under £200, the prices can vary significantly. As such, it’s important to consider the features and specifications that you really need in order to get the best value pressure washer. Look for a model that meets your needs regardless of the price, while emphasizing on how often you’ll be using the machine and for what duties. As we said, some attachments can be bought later when needed. With that in mind, you may realize that even some cheap models can be quite as good.

Kärcher K2 Full Control Home Pressure Washer
With budget pressure washers under 200, this Kärcher K2 is definitely a model you should consider. It is ideal for small patios as well as car and outdoor furniture cleaning. This K2 model has a 1.4 kW motor with 110 bar maximum pressure so, while not the most powerful in the Karcher range, its ideal if you’re looking to remove some dirt and grime off your patio or decking. The flow rate is also decent at 360 liters per hour but you’ll want the more powerful models if you need to clean larger areas in a hurry.
This Karcher K2 comes with a Full Control lance which has four adjustable pressure settings that can be changed according to what surface you are washing.
Be aware though that a build-up of years of grime, moss, or dirt will take some shifting using this model compared to the higher-spec K4.
Wilks-USA RX525 High Powered Pressure Washer
The Wilks-USA RX525 High Powered Pressure Washer creates plenty of pressure from a compact and durable unit. On-board storage is complemented with travel wheels and handles to allow for easy movement. This lightweight 14kg unit produces a very respectable 2400 PSI from a quality Wilks metal pump. This provides consistent, reliable pressure including a copper-wound brushless 2400 watt motor that delivers 450 liters per hour flow rate and unbeatable reliability.
Wilks has created a superior design that outperforms similar lightweight pressure washers when it comes to pressure output. The air-cooled 2400 watt motor delivers the power that you need to cut down cleaning times. Many other brands are manufactured from the cheapest materials such as aluminum wound motors. Wilks only uses quality copper wound brush-less motors to offer unparalleled reliability.
Lightweight and easy to move with wheels, handle, and on-board storage. A perfect cleaner for your car, driveway, paving, home, decking, and more.
Super convenient usability, this pressure washer can be gravity fed or mains fed so you can use it wherever you are.
I like the patio cleaning tool that makes removing winter’s grime and algae a breeze. The unit also has a detergent spray system to make cleaning even more quick and easy.
Overall this is a great option if you are looking for the best high-powered pressure washer to do an effective job and that has excellent build quality.

With dimensions of 40 x 20 x 37.5 cm, this portable pressure washer is indeed compact but its wide base makes it very stable while sitting on the ground. Even if you did accidentally pull it over, this is a Bosch, and they are known for being robust, solid machines.
Black+Decker BXPW1600PE High Pressure Washer
This Black and Decker pressure washer has 125 bar of pressure and uses 420 liter of water an hour. It’s a powerful machine that’ll remove ground-in dirt, mold spots, moss, and filth in little time.
Accessories make the best patio cleaner and this nifty piece of kit includes a hosepipe that sucks water from a water butt or an outside tap, a trigger gun, a lance, a rotary jet wash nozzle that lets you vary the jet strength so you don’t blast away your pointing, a foam lance bottle, and a fixed brush.
If that wasn’t enough you also get the all-important patio deluxe cleaner and fixed brush that allows you to clean large patio surfaces without mucky splashback.
This patio pressure washer is wheeled, ergonomically handled, has a mega long eight-meter hose, and great build quality.
Wilks-USA RX550i Highest Powered Electric Pressure Washer
If you’re looking for a powerful high-pressure washer with a budget under 200, this Wilks-USA RX550i Highest Powered Electric Pressure Washer is a great choice for you!
Whether you’re dealing with paths, roofs, driveways, vehicles, or walls, this washer starts with an eight-meter hose but offers an extension whenever required; when washing the roof or perhaps the underneath of the car, this ensures you don’t need to make sacrifices which is always good news. Furthermore, the wheel trolley design means that it can be transported with ease.
This Wilks-USA RX550i pressure washer has a long high-pressure hose which makes it easier to use and the hose reel is a real bonus for storage. I also like that the water inlet and the high-pressure hose are on the same side also helps with the ease of use.
In truth, the biggest benefit of choosing this model is that you’ll be rewarded with extreme flexibility. Firstly, this is seen with the two premium scrub and rotary brushes. Regardless of the job at hand, you’ll always have the right tool. Secondly, there are five different nozzles and this allows for personalization once again. Finally, the detergent injection system means that even the toughest stains and marks can be removed.
Nilfisk C 120 bar 120.7-6 PCA UK Compact Pressure Washer for Basic Tasks
This Nilfisk C 120 bar 120.7-6 PCA UK Compact Pressure Washer has a great design and we especially love it because of its little weight. We like the fact that it offers a patio cleaner and a soft-bristled brush to tackle different spaces.
It’s just as powerful as my previous Karcher K2 machine, quieter and so easy to use. Done a really good job on my patio.
However, we found that you’ll greatly benefit from the brush than the patio cleaner. It still does the job anyway. You’ll also appreciate the on-board storage for keeping a few accessories. With that said, the Nilfisk C120 7-6 Patio and Brush Pressure Washer is a fairly priced pressure washer ideal for cleaning outdoor items with a fair amount of dirt or mess.
Yard Force 135 Bar 1800W High-Pressure Washer
If you need to clean that deck, garden furniture, outdoor rugs, garden walkways, etc. then a pressure washer may be just what you need. I had the good fortune to test the Yard Force 135 Bar 1800W High-Pressure Washer. It’s a powerful beast that packs a lot of features and oomph into a small package.
I own a gasoline-powered pressure washer that delivers 2700 PSI. That’s in a different class than electric power washers. But I must admit, I was impressed with the cleaning power of the Yard Force Electric Pressure Washer YF1800LR. It blasted through mold on the garden walkway, cleaned a birdbath fountain, powered through dirt and grime on outdoor rugs, and stripped paint from an old outside bench with ease.
Other things I like are the roll-up of the power cord and the high-pressure water line. It makes for compact storage and the reels have ample room on them to wind up all the power cord and water pressure hose.
Kärcher K4 Full Control Pressure Washer
Although this is not the most powerful pressure washer in the Karcher lineup, it offers great cleaning performance for its size and weight.
With the adjustable spray nozzle, I was able to micro-adjust to a fine pointed spray to get into tight crevices, while a wider pattern worked well for cleaning walkways, furniture, decks, bicycles, and a whole host of other power cleaning jobs.
What I discovered is that sometimes I just don’t need a monster of a machine to get basic cleaning jobs done. Is this going to be the perfect solution for stripping paint when I want to repaint my house? No. But for everyday use, and for what it’s designed for, it works perfectly.
The versatile and powerful Karcher K 4 Full Control pressure washer makes it easy to select the right pressure for the job, whether you’re cleaning the patio or the car. Easily adjust the pressure from one surface to another with the LED pressure setting display on the trigger gun, and switch between the Vario and Dirt blaster lances depending on your cleaning task. The machine’s Plug ‘n’ Clean system applies detergent as you clean for maximum efficiency without making a mess.
How to choose the best pressure washer for you?
What type of pressure washer do I need?
There are two types of a pressure washer on the market: electric and petrol-powered. The latter are generally for more heavy-duty cleaning tasks, have much higher maximum pressure readings, and cost vastly more money. As such, we’re going to focus solely on electric pressure washers as they cover pretty much all the domestic cleaning tasks you could imagine.
What do you want to use your pressure washer for?
Pressure washers can generally be put into three categories, depending on their maximum pressure rating:
Entry-level cleaners are those with a maximum of 100 bars of pressure. These models are good for cleaning small items such as bicycles and garden furniture.
Pressure washers with a maximum of 120 bars are those at the mid-level and are best used for cleaning things such as fencing, patios, and dirty cars.
If you want to embark on some really heavy-duty cleaning, go for a pressure washer with over 120 bars. If you’re tackling severely stained paving or mud-coated 4x4s, this is your best bet.
Maximum pressure is not the only way to assess whether a particular model is right for you. If the manufacturer includes it, look for the washer’s “bar-rated pressure” as well. This is the average pressure that each washer can maintain over a long period.
How much pressure (PSI) do you need?
Most pressure washers will operate somewhere around 1,200 to 2,000 PSI and 1.2 to 1.6 GPM. For a frame of reference, the faucet in your kitchen probably sprays at 50 PSI and 2.5 GPM. A higher GPM is great for pressure washers, but the PSI is more important. For cars and decks, anything above a 1,500 PSI electric pressure washer should get the job done. Houses and driveways take a bit more, but water pressure higher than 1,800 PSI can clean them with some work. Get a 3,000 PSI electric pressure washer if you want to clean the side of your home, boat, or all-terrain vehicle. If you want to strip paint, remove graffiti, or clean industrial equipment, you need a 4,000 PSI electric pressure washer.
